DFW Aquaponics Farms

DFW Aquaponics Farms exists because of a collective vision shared by a group of individuals who came together by chance and stayed together by design.

Although the idea of the farm has morphed into an entity that is very different from the original vision, it is through the input and the labor of each individual that plants and fish are now growing together on our plot of land in Burleson.

We acknowledge the efforts of the original group of volunteers who supported the dream and continue to lend their support as time and interest allow. They join with us to advance the cause, to increase their knowledge, to support the vision, and to enjoy the harvest.

We welcome them – and all newcomers – to experience the opportunities available at DFW Aquaponics Farms. As we grow, there will be new opportunities. We do not know the shape of the future, but we know the future has a place for aquaponics; we are going in that direction.

Why not join us on the journey? For more information, come out to our First Saturday Gatherings or join us for a class as your time and interest allow. Participate in one of our “Build Days” or call us for a tour of our expanding Aquaponics Farm.

Sign up for a share of our produce and help us make the dream of fresh, locally-grown vegetables a reality. This is an exciting time – both for DFW Aquaponics Farms, and for urban agriculture in general. Stay in touch with what’s happening in our area, in Texas and the southwest region, nationally and internationally by liking and following our Facebook page and browsing, reading our blog, browsing our Resource Library for suggestions about “good reads” and interesting information, and enrolling in some of the classes we have scheduled for spring.

As always, we welcome you to our First Saturday Gatherings, and love to hear from our many friends and associates in the Aquaponic Community.

It is with a great deal of pride and expectation that we embark on this new adventure. Thanks for coming along with us as we grow into the future!
